Thermo Scientific EZ-Link HPDP-Biotin is pyridyldithiol-activated, sulfhydryl-reactive biotinylation reagent that conjugates via a cleavable （reversible） disulfide bond to enable use in a variety of purification methods.
Application:
Retrieve cell surface receptors and cleave the biotin away on an immobilized avidin column （Ref.1）
Highlights:
Pyridyldithiol reacts with -SH groups to form a stable disulfide bond
Pyridine-2-thione leaving group can be used to measure degree of biotinylation at 343nm
Disulfide bond is cleavable using 50mM DTT, or 100mM beta-mercaptoethanol
Extender spacer arm prevents steric hindrance
Must be dissolved in DMSO or DMF before use
Biotinylation occurs between pH 6 to 9
