Three new VME64 boards have been launched in 2015 based on tried and tested technology that is anticipated to have long life cycles. Both low power consumption and high performance solutions are available for air and conduction cooled environments.

    VP E2x/msd - Intel® Atom™ Processor, Single or Dual Site PMC/XMC Controller

    VP E2x/msd is a low power consumption VME board with a wide spread of I/O interfaces that has been designed for long life-cycle applications. It offers sufficient processing and graphics performance for many existing VME applications and is able to start running an application within a few seconds with the optional Fast Boot software package.

    • 4-core and 1-core processor options allowing for performance and power optimizations

    • Up to 8 Gbytes DRAM with built in error correction for reliable operation

    • Up to 2 x PMC/XMC module interfaces for local I/O expansion

    • Built in I/O interfaces including SATA, USB, Ethernet, graphics, GPIO, audio and serial

    • On board solid state disk options for reliable boot image and data storage

    • Off the shelf board support packages available for Linux®, Windows® ａnd VxWorks®

    VP B1x/msd - VME board based on 4th Generation Intel® Core™ i7/i5 processor

    VP B1x/msd is a high performance, flexible VMEbus board designed for long life-cycle applications in the defense, industrial, scientific and aerospace markets. It offers the right combination of processing, I/O and firmware features to enable easy technology transitions for many existing VMEbus applications. Board support packages are available as standard for Linux®, Windows®, VxWorks® ａnd Solaris™ and other operating systems can be supported on demand.
