When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody the antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-4 °C.

This gene encodes four products of the tachykinin peptide hormone family, substance P and neurokinin A, as well as the related peptides, neuropeptide K and neuropeptide gamma. These hormones are thought to function as neurotransmitters which interact with nerve receptors and smooth muscle cells. They are known to induce behavioral responses and function as vasodilators and secretagogues. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. Tachykinins are active peptides which excite neurons, evoke behavioral responses, are potent vasodilators and secretagogues, and contract (directly or indirectly) many smooth muscles.

P物質(zhì)（Substance P）是腦組織及消化道中發(fā)現(xiàn)的一種神經(jīng)遞質(zhì)肽。由130個氨基酸殘基組成，胃腸道中肌肉收縮的有力促進劑，亦為強血管擴張劑。
SP是一種腦腸肽，亦是zui早發(fā)現(xiàn)的一種神經(jīng)肽，屬于速激肽家族成員，它廣泛分布于中樞及外周神經(jīng)系統(tǒng)，作為一種神經(jīng)遞質(zhì)或調(diào)質(zhì)參與疼痛、免疫、心血管等多種生理功能的調(diào)節(jié)。SP與其它的遞質(zhì)或調(diào)質(zhì)類似，能作用于多種類型的受體，速激肽家族有NK1、NK2、NK3三種受體，都能與SP結(jié)合，其中NK1與SP的結(jié)合能力zui強而被稱為SP受體。
