Background:

Cytochrome C Oxidase (COX), which is located in the inner mitochondrial membrane, is the terminal enzyme complex of the mitochondrial electron transport chain. It collects electrons that are transferred from reduced CYTOCHROME C and donates them to molecular oxygen, which is then reduced to water. It is composed of CYTOCHROME A and CYTOCHROME B, two copper atoms, and 13 different protein subunits, three of which are encoded by the mitochondrial DNA and ten others by nuclear DNA. Alternative names: COX IV-1 (cytochrome c oxidase subunit IV isoform 1; Cox4i1; Cox4; Cox4a Cytochrome c oxidase polypeptide IV; )

Storage:  Store at -20℃ for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The  lyophilized antibody is stable at room temperature for at least one month and for greater  than a year when kept at -20℃. When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent  of antibody, the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 ℃
